For the past few years, Boss has offered two different styles of its higher sitting seats, the "Highrise" and the "Highrise Widetop." Originally, the Highrise Widetop was intended to be the perfect seat for trail riders. With its higher position and expanded bun support, it proved to be a definite winner among those who ride sitting down for long periods of time. However, it didn't take long for mountain riders to realize that the Highrise Widetop was the seat for them. They like the higher sitting position which makes the shifting from sitting to standing virtually effortless.

They also like the wider top for the support it gives when riding with a knee on the seat. It became clear that Boss had a winner.

In the summer of 2005, Boss seat designers created an all-new Highrise design that incorporated the best of the Highrise seat, blended with the supportive attributes of the Highrise Widetop. What we have now is one trick looking seat that appeals to mountain and trail riders alike. So to sum things up, there will no longer be a distinction between Highrise and Highrise Widetop. We are confident you'll like the new Boss Highrise Seat.
